Resources for Daily Matins in the Parish and Home

Lutheran Liturgical Prayer Brotherhood

Prayer is a salutary way to begin the day.  The Lutheran Church in her official hymnals offers a daily Morning Prayer service called Matins.  In its most simple form, this service consists of a Psalm, a Bible reading, a short mediation, and prayers for the church.  It typically lasts only 15 minutes.  It is a quick and uplifting way to begin your day.  The bulletins included here make use of the Invitatories, Antiphons, and Responsories contained in The Lutheran Hymnal.  Unless otherwise noted, this simple form of Matins is spoken.
